Priscilla Pleasureway’s Maiden Voyage

This is Priscilla Pleasureway, purchased pre-owned in November 2011 (only 2000 km on the clock!)

After a few short shake-down trips over the next few months, we will be taking her on her maiden voyage, leaving Courtenay on August 24 2012, and heading for Blaine Washington, where we will turn east and head for Ontario, crossing the border at Sarnia. After spending some time visiting friends and family in Hamilton, Toronto and the Kawarthas, we will head for Ottawa for a few days, then down to Montreal and Sherbrooke. Next stop will be New Brunswick, PEI, Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. We will then head down the Eastern Seaboard through New York, Boston and Washington, visiting Gettysburg, and Cape Cod along the way.
After following the Blue Ridge Parkway through Virginia and North Carolina,we turn west through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, heading for Phoenix and the Grand Canyon by way of Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque, where we will spend 4 days at the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. Then it’s over to San Diego for a few days, followed by a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise, starting on November 11.  We will then head north on I-5 and Highway 101 along the coast north through California, Oregon and Washington, crossing back to Vancouver Island via the Duke Point ferry in late November. (See route below). We will be making regular entries in this journal and adding photos along the way, assuming we have not killed each other before the end of the trip!
