Polar Bears and Canasta Chairs
Again, no Wi-fi (or cell) access at this park, so will post this on our way out of Ramona tomorrow morning. We arrived here in mid-afternoon on Friday to find that our San Diego friends Maurice and Marilyn were already here and had booked the space next to them for us. It was great to see them again. They actually moved to Ramona from San Diego in March. We have spent parts of every day playing Canasta with them. Since partners are exchanged after every hand, it involved a lot of chair-changing. On Saturday they took us to the Barona Casino for lunch, and tonight we went to a Mexican restaurant in town:
The pool here is not heated, so the water temperature was 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius), but that did not stop Jeannine from taking a Polar Bear dip.
We will be leaving here tomorrow (Monday) for the KOA campground in Chula Vista, which is our jumping-off point for the Mexico leg of the trip. We head into Mexico on Wednesday, and from that point on, I may not be able to post anything on the blog until we return on March 17. We will also be out of cell range, but will check in as soon as we return from the dark side of the Mexico moon.
