Blowhard; Dinner And A Whale Show
We carpooled into Cabo this morning to a local glass factory, where we watched a glass elephant being created:
We bought some very nice glasses to replace some of the ones we have at home; hopefully we can get them back unbroken!
Later in the afternoon, we embarked on the catamaran for the sunset dinner cruise. We were out about 3 hours, and it was very enjoyable (except for the constant DJ chatter from one of the crew, who insisted on referring to us all as “You guys”, and repeating everything in both English and Spanish.) It got especially annoying when we came across a mother and baby gray whale. He insisted on making “Awwww…” noises to the baby, thinking it was cute; it wasn’t. We tried to find his off switch, with no luck. Anyway, the 20 minutes or so of fluke-slapping antics of the youngster, and the occasional rise to the surface of the mother to check on him (her?)was worth the chatter:
With good food, served buffet-style, and an open bar (fortunately nobody got stupid, which was just as well, since the taxis that were supposed to take us down to the Marina never showed up, so we had to carpool), we had a great time:
The perfect end to a great day:
